Where to Mail Form 941?

If you own a business where you have employees working for you, you must file an IRS Form 941, Employer’s Quarterly Federal Tax Return at the end of each quarter. So for the wages you pay during the first quarter, January through March, you must file your Form 941 at the end of April.

The wages you pay between April and June must be filed before the last day of the next month, July 30 and so on. Therefore, you as an employer will have about one month to file your quarterly federal tax return. Not doing it so will impose you a 5% penalty for each month you’re late with a maximum penalty of 25%. These figures will add up over time.

If you don’t file Form 941 for the first quarter and second quarter, the penalties will increase separately. So if you won’t file Form 941 till August during a year, while the first quarter’s penalty reaches 20%, the second quarter’s penalty will be 5%.
